Final testing of the VP12 couldn't have gone better. The Volo Performance Level 4 Sponsor 300ZX participated in the 2008 SCCA Regional Solo. Our best time without the VP12 was 40.789", but with the VP12 equipped that dropped to an amazing 37.070".

We're looking for VP12 sponsors who actively compete in autocross or drag racing. Vehicle must be stock or mildly modified. Please contact us for details.

  • 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

  • Greetings, I just installed your new VP12 chip into my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT 2.7L V6 5spd. I noticed enhanced performance characteristics immediately due to several complimentary upgrades I had already earlier installed. Shifting was much smoother(clutch did not slip), acceleration was quick, and throttle response was on demand with consistent power across the entire RPM band. I love this product. Thanks...Curtis from Canada

  • 2000 Chrysler Town and Country

  • Hi, I received the FS2 this weekend and installed it this morning. I drove about 200 miles through out the day. Last week I averaged 21.5 miles a gallon today I averaged 24.6 miles a gallon. In my 2000 Town and Country van I have 201000 miles on it. My high of the day was 25.5 miles a gallon. it dropped down to 24.6 after I turned on the AC for the afternoon.

  • 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon

  • With regard to the Volo VP12 chip I can assure you it is MARVELOUS!! I HAVE JUST had one wired into my 164kw 3.5 litre 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon.. This had the restrictive factory rear can just recently replaced with a shortish 'Super Turbo' straight through at the tail pipe and also had had the cat removed and replaced with an enormous 'pre-chamber' style straight through resonator. So these changes along with a K&N air filter had changed things into a raspy leaned-out effect that I didn't really like that much.. Immediately the Volo VP12 was wired into the OBD-II port the engine was 'smoothed-out' ..quiet ..and very responsive to the slightest throttle!! Cruising at 100kms at just under 2000rpm fuel usage dropped down to 9.5 litres per 100kms!! (Previously it was always over 10 litres per 100ms) So in a nutshell the Volo VP12 gave me a smoother more responsive engine that uses less fuel then before to do the same job!! MARVELOUS!! • 2000 Acura Integra

  • Hey guys, the VP12 has made my Integra come alive. I'm thrilled to see its true performance. I've tried the eBay chips and their worthless. The eBay chip would only try to trick the ecu through the sensor giving you false readings. The Volo Chip has increased the torque through the lower RPMs which I love. I definitely feel the hp, no more late top end power. I use to feel a slight sluggish feeling from the lower RPMs at take off then feel the power at mid to high range. The VP12 changed that giving me both of best worlds. My stock ecu was not able to read or put out the max from all my bolt ons but the VP12 unleashed them all. My Integra LS is naturally aspirated with all the bolt ons and some light weight reduction. I recommend any performance freaks out there with a low budget who wants to get more out of there performance parts. I'm so glad I didn't have to get a reprogrammed ecu and have it tuned by a shop. The VP12 did all of that. Thanks guys! Raymond Rohena

  • 1999 Cadillac SeVille

  • I've installed 5 chips now, one for my 1999 Cadillac Seville STS (performance VP12), and 4 FS3 chips for my co-workers and family. I expect to install a lot more for the people in my circle of influence. My Cadillac really didn't see a mileage gain, but that's not what I was looking for in my Caddy... I did see a good performance gain and have experienced much better driveability. The car accelerates much more smoothly, has better throttle response and behaves more like a car should. When I hit the gas, it's surprising what a bit of tuning can do. You don't just get more HP/Torque, you get HP/Torque applied in a much more intelligent manner. I would recommend the chip even if it didn't add extra power simply because the car behaves so much better. On the 3 cars I installed FS3 chips on, to my surprise, all of the people I installed them for reported better driveability AND very good gas savings. My neighbor's 2001 Buick Century was getting 27MPG on freeway runs to visit family. He's very happy to now be getting 32MPG on the same trip. I just put another chip in his 2003 Pontiac Montana. (He gave me a large helping of Mac and Cheese for the family, how could I refuse?) Driveability improved immediately and he's anxious to report his gas mileage savings when he takes it on his next trip. For my father, I installed an FS3 in his 2005 Buick LaCrosse. He's gone from 28MPG on freeway trips to 33MPG and his average MPG between city and highway driving is about 4MPG better. One of my clients has a 2006 Cadillac Escalade. He went from 15MPG to 18MPG using an FS3. While the FS3 isn't intended to increase power, he reported that pulling his boat trailer it's much more effortless and he's getting better mileage towing as well.

Ease of installation... The chips are easy to put in and it's as easy if not even easier than one would expect. On each vehicle I installed them on, my Cadillac was the toughest (still very easy) because I had to remove the panel under the steering wheel to get at the wires behind the OBD II port. What's that? Two little screws? All that's left after that is to look at the pin-outs on the OBD-II port, put them into the interactive diagram on the website (very easy to do, even with no mechanical experience) and to clamp on the INCLUDED connectors (no wire cutting needed) to the Volo chip, and then to start the vehicle/reset the Volo chip and let it sync up. After sync, use the INCLUDED two sided foam stickem thing to stick the Volo chip out of sight. Put it back together, then done. Volo even gives you two little wire ties to make things neater. Installation in each case (including time for sync up) is about 15 minutes of time if you really take your time. The instructions are good too. Printed out well and easy to understand.

These chips would be worth the money even if they didn't improve gas mileage or power simply because they improve driving quality of the vehicle (and they do it very well). Thing is, they DO improve gas mileage and/or power as well. Facing higher and higher gas prices, people really can't afford NOT to buy one of these chips. They work as advertised! I've seen them work five times over now without failure. It's not often you come across a product that has such amazing value for such an affordable price. Less often yet you can get a product that can save you so much money for such a small investment. For my neighbor, it's like a free tank of gas every 7th fill up. With today's prices, in 14 fill ups, for my neighbor and the chip pays for itself. After it's paid for, it's money you're not spending. Think of it this way... If it cost you $50 to fill up and you do well as my neighbor, father, co-worker did, filling up once per week... That's 7 free tanks of gas every year, or $350 that never left your pocket that would have. Tried and true, REAL WORLD money saver, and if you're a green kind of person, that's 7 less tanks of gas polluting the environment every single year.

My experience with the Volo sales team is limited, but excellent. I was skeptical at first because of the chip scams out there. I inquired to see if the sales team would return my E-Mail... They promptly did. They explained themselves and did what they could to help me past my skepticism. I took the gamble and purchased from them and I've never been happier. Courteous staff, ready to talk to me even though at the time I talked to them, I had made no purchase. I haven't had to contact them since because in the 5 chips I put in, it was effortless and they went perfectly. I'm contacting them with this review because I owed it to them for helping me, my friends, co-workers and family. Thank you Volo, you have a loyal customer.

I hope my experience helps others to get over their skepticism of buying from Volo. The quality is 5 stars, the communication with Volo is 5 stars, the usefulness of the product is 5 stars.

    Sincerely;

    Max H (Saginaw, MI)

I give full permission to Volo to use this review on their website. Thank you for making a truly wonderful product and expect a LOT more business out of me.

  • 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder

  • "Fantastic product. Installed on MR2 Spyder and after 300 miles now enjoy much better idle, throttle response, mpg (after 300 miles, 37 mpg on equal measures of highway cruising, flat-to-the-board twisty roads and 0-60 acceleration and city driving). Very noticeable increase in torque and power as well. Amazing product!. Thank you Volo"

  • 2010 Ford Transit Connect

  • It is not too often that a product works as well as the manufacturer says it does. The VP12 chip gave my Ford Transit Connect a much needed boost in power and efficiency. The small displacement engine of this vehicle is not really a handicap anymore!

  • 2009 Honda Element

  • I just wanted to tell you that my VP12 Chip has changed my car's performance. My torque has increased and my idle has smoothed out on my Honda Element 2009. It is too early to tell about my fuel avg. Thank you for your help.

    Regards,

  • 2014 Chevy Camaro SS

  • I have a 2014 Camaro SS, 6.2L V8 6spd I've installed a K&N Cold air intake, JBD high airflow cats, and super 44 series flowmaster exhaust system prior to installing the chip.

When I first installed the chip, None of the lights were illuminated, so first impression is bum part, quick recheck of my friends work, chip lights up and we're a go. I program the device as instructed, and then proceeded to see what it could do.

Right away I felt an improvement on throttle response. The car pulled noticeably more from first to fifth. I was pleasantly surprised that the chip gave my car that much of a noticeable difference.

On the highway in sixth gear, at 75 mph, I was averaging 17-18 mpgs, after I drove about the first two hundred miles, I was getting 14-16 mpgs, and I started getting a little irritated, but patience pays off, after the 150 mile point, I jumped up to 27-29 mpgs. As long as I don't drive like I stole her, I can stay in the upper 20's per gallon.

I've always been skeptical about installing a chip into any of my vehicles, but the price/good reviews had me sold.

The simplicity of installing the chip, the awesome performance upgrade, and the gas saving, I recommend this chip to any car enthusiasts who want actual more bang for their buck.

I am really looking forward to testing it out at the track to see it's true potential.

    Thanks for the great investment.

  • 2000 Pontiac Montana

  • If y'all would ever like to hear some real world data from someone who has used your FS3 for 95,000+ miles all over these United States then give me a holler.

In a completely stock normally aspirated but well very maintained V6 2000 Pontiac Montana with your FS3 and non-ethanol fuel, loaded down with 5 people+gear plus 250 lbs hanging off the back in a hitched-attached luggage carrier I have consistently achieved 27-30 MPG depending on the average road grade of the miles traveled.

The old school and deep GM knowledge-based owner of the garage where I go for service is always amazed at the MPG numbers I share with him from my trips.

I always tell people about your product. I tell them that I have no control over how much I'm charged for fuel but with Volo and non-ethanol gas I can control how much I use.

  • 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L V6

  • Just like to comment about your product....

I own both chips for my Tacoma, the performance and fuel saver chips. I did not install them the way your company suggests by splicing into critical wiring for my vehicle. Instead I purchased OBDII connectors on Amazon, and following your diagram, I soldered the wires to the appropriate terminals so I can just plug and go. Much less invasive, suggest you include a OBDII Connector kit with your product.

The Performance Chip did actually give some great torque to my truck, however my MPG was way down, about 14MPG overall.....

The Fuel Saver Chip has actually done much more for both performance and fuel savings. I tested it by taking a couple of trips to Los Angeles, about 130 miles RT, and to San Diego, about 220 miles RT. On both trips, bear in mind I was getting about 16-17 MPG @ 70-75 MPH, I got on both trips 23 MPG and 22 MPG respectively while averaging about 70-80 MPH. The trip to San Diego had hilly terrain on I-15 forcing me to accelerate a bit more at times, so I lost 1 MPG.

I have been charting my MPG for 2 years. I generally average City/Hwy combined about 14-15 MPG at best. With the Performance Chip, nothing changed, still poor mileage, but with the Fuel Saver Chip, I averaged 18.5 MPG City/Hwy combined.

I did notice that city driving, the fuel saver doesn't make much difference, still seem to do poorly, but on the Hwy, it made a dramatic difference, an increase from about 16-17 MPG before to 22-23 MPG...

I am a satisfied customer!!! The true test will be when we pull a lite travel trailer. Presuming I can only travel at 55-60 while towing, I expect good results....
