The VP11 is our most popular Dynamic Soft-Flasher. Operating at 4MHz, the VP11 offers our newest patching algorithm for reliability and ease of use.
The VP11 is a vehicle specific, custom programmed 4MHz Microcontroller. It utilizes its high speed serial input/output to communicate directly with the ECU throught the OBD-II port. Inside your ECU is a 3-dimensional table of values called a map. This table tells your fuel injectors exactly how much fuel to deliver given current air temperature, density, engine speed, throttle position, and other variables. From the factory, this map is generic and designed to provide a sluggish, no-surprises style of driving to suit a wide range of drivers. The VP11 temporarily replaces parts of this map with parts from our highly tuned performance maps, and will safely unleash you engine's full potential, without voiding the warranty.
The VP11 is compatible with factory equipped Turbo/Superchargers, diesel engines, Flex-Fuel, HHO supplement systems, and any standard octane fuel.
It is NOT compatible with hybrid engine options, propane or natural-gas powered engines.
Is this the right one for my engine?
The VP11 has room for up to 8 performance maps, which we use to cover different engine options for a particular vehicle. For example, the 1999 Ford Mustang Volo Chip will be compatible with both the 3.8L V6 and the 4.6L V8. The VP11 will read the first few bytes of data from your ECU during calibration to determine which map to use.
How much will I gain?
The VP11 offers amazing gains for the price - up to 25HP and up to 50 ft/lbs of torque. The VP11 can also improve fuel efficiency under normal driving conditions by up to 15%.
How does it install?
Locate the OBD-II port, connect 4 wires with the included connectors, and you're done.
The VP11 comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturer defects. If the device becomes defective, contact sales@voloperformance.com for a replacement. Improper installation resulting from failure to follow instructions, opening the device for any purpose other than firmware upgrade, or installing on a vehicle other than the one specified will void this warranty.
In the rare event you don't notice a difference immediately, please reset the device as indicated in the instructions and try again. Depending on the vehicle, it may take up to 120 miles of driving before some ECUs will accept the Volo Chip's patched values. This is a safety feature designed to prevent one sensor from impairing the entire system. If you've tried everything and still don't notice a difference, contact sales@voloperformance.com within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price excluding shipping.
